Tell us about your business, when was it formed and what do you do?

As a leading training provider to the technical engineering, estates and facilities management sectors for over 55 years, Eastwood Park offers an extensive portfolio of healthcare and commercial courses from their state-of-the-art training centre in Gloucestershire. This is achieved through a blend of engaging practical and theory-based training. I personally, motivate and encourage delegates to achieve personal goals within the lift engineering sector.

Who are your customers? Which markets do you serve?

Our customers are primarily Estates and Facilities management within the healthcare, commercial and education sector.

How many times have you been to LIFTEX?

Personally, I’ve attended LIFTEX once before a few years ago as a day delegate. I am very excited to branch out into the exhibiting side of the conference to see things from a different perspective.

What are the main issues that your customers deal with and how do you help them?

Some of the main issues that our customers face are ensuring that their employees training are up-to-date, credible and to a high standard. We ensure that all training is to a high standard along with being City and Guilds accredited.

Are there any issues that specifiers, contractors / owners should be aware of in the next 12 months?

As we work to Health Technical Memorandum 08-02: Lifts (HTM’s), there’s really no knowing when updates are due to be made and content we should change to abide by. As of now, all HTM’s are up to date and no changes are made aware.

How can we, as an industry, help designers and building owners to become more energy efficient and meet Net Zero targets?

Education and new products will allow for (for example) regenerative drives to return unused power back into the national grid instead of wasting this energy

What will you be promoting / what can visitors expect to see on your stand?

Visitors can expect to see a wide range of our specialist Lifts portfolio courses. You will be able to speak with myself and my colleague, Stephen Torrington, about all things lifts and healthcare related. You will be able to book your very own place on one of our industry leading courses at our state-of-the-art training facility in South Gloucestershire.

What advice would you give to anyone visiting the show? What should they look for and how can they get the most from their visit?

Take it all in, speak to people, network, build contacts and enjoy the experience of others enjoying the same interests as yourself. See you all there!
