Tell us about your business, when was it formed and what do you do?

Established in 1938, Hissmekano is Europe’s leading supplier of elevator lift parts offering products like guide shoe inserts, door contacts, pulleys, and advanced electronics. With headquarters in Taby, Sweden, supported by a German distribution center and an Estonian production facility, Hissmekano ensures efficient delivery and top-quality solutions. Combining expertise, innovation, and reliability, Hissmekano meets the evolving needs of the lift industry.

Who are your customers? Which markets do you serve?

Hissmekano serves a diverse customer base primarily within the lift industry. Our customers include: Lift Maintenance and Service Companies, Lift Manufacturers and modernisation specialists. Hissmekano operates across Europe, with a strong presence in the Nordics, Germany, and neighboring countries. We also cater to the broader international market, addressing the needs of businesses requiring hard-to-find or custom-made lift components for the service, repair, and modernization sectors.

How many times have you been to LIFTEX?

Hissmekano has participated in the exhibit several times as a company, but this will be my first time attending.

What are the main issues that your customers deal with and how do you help them?

Finding rare, discontinued, or custom elevator parts often causes delays in maintenance and modernization. Our solutions: We provide comprehensive inventory, fast delivery, expert support and high- quality products. We streamline sourcing, reduce delays, and ensure safe, efficient solutions. We also provide expert support, we help with identifying and ensuring compatibility, plus quality assurance with reliable, industry-standard components.

Are there any issues that specifiers, contractors / owners should be aware of in the next 12 months?

The push for greener solutions may require suppliers to offer environmentally friendly solutions products, and adopt sustainable practices, which could necessitate significant investments.

How can we, as an industry, help designers and building owners to become more energy efficient and meet Net Zero targets?

The lift industry can promote energy-efficient technologies, offer retrofitting solutions, educate designers and building owners, customize solutions for green buildings, enhance recycling and sustainability, collaborate on whole-building energy solutions and incentivize sustainability Initiatives. By offering innovative products, technical expertise and collaborative approaches, the lift industry can play a vital role in meeting Net Zero targets and create a more sustainable future.
