60 seconds with…Jose Serrano, Technical Director, A&S Lifts

Tell us about your business, when was it formed and what do you do?
A&S Lifts was formed during Covid 2020 during the time the entire world slowed down, allowing us to see the difference working remotely could make, and the savings we could offer companies with this type of services. Offering the opportunity for companies to access the lifts in real-time could potentially save the company and the client a lot of money and time between travel and diagnostics. This will definitely be the future of this industry.
Who are your customers? Which markets do you serve?
Lift companies, estate agents, and private clients.
How many times have you been to LIFTEX?
We have been to LIFTEX twice this is our third time attending and second and exhibitors.
What are the main issues that your customers deal with and how do you help them?
Our service and compromise to our clients are bespoke to their needs, and our tech support is one of the main reasons clients use us.
Are there any issues that specifiers, contractors / owners should be aware of in the next 12 months?
With the landlines being disconnected in the near future, the need for solutions will increase and with that, the demand for these types of services and equipment will make the prices increase.
The first ones to make the change will benefit from better prices.
How can we, as an industry, help designers and building owners to become more energy efficient and meet Net Zero targets?
IOT, in our perspective, is one of the best solutions to achieve this goal. Minimising travel for engineers and parts and focusing on the issues from a distance will allow the companies to provide a better and quicker service with the least impact.
What will you be promoting / what can visitors expect to see on your stand?
IOT services in the lift industry.
What advice would you give to anyone visiting the show? What should they look for and how can they get the most from their visit?
Please bring a open mind, try and see a little outside of the box created by the countless years of doing things the same way and with the same equipment.
