Tell us about your business, when was it formed and what do you do?

Atwell International is a UK-based company, established in March 1996. We specialise in the supply of VG Safety Products™ and associated lift components. Our materials for VG products are locally sourced, and all assembly is carried out in our own warehouse. Additionally, our facility houses a state-of-the-art test tower, where we conduct drop tests—something we encourage visitors to witness, particularly with the launch of our AiO Speed Watcher.

Who are your customers? Which markets do you serve?

Our customers range from lift package companies and major lift firms to independent operators with a single van. However, our reach extends beyond the lift industry. Our safety gears have been utilised in roller coaster rides, aircraft carriers, funicular railways, and even movie sets.

How many times have you been to LIFTEX?

This will be our 6th visit to LIFTEX.

What are the main issues that your customers deal with and how do you help them?

A significant challenge in the industry is a knowledge gap, where some customers are unsure about the solutions they need. To address this, we have adopted a more consultative approach, guiding our clients to ensure they select the right products and solutions for their specific applications.

Are there any issues that specifiers, contractors / owners should be aware of in the next 12 months?

Key factors that could impact the industry include fluctuations in steel prices and potential changes in tax regulations. Staying informed and planning ahead will be essential for businesses to navigate these challenges effectively.

How can we, as an industry, help designers and building owners to become more energy efficient and meet Net Zero targets?

Energy efficiency can be improved through a range of strategies, depending on the building’s size and operational hours. Simple but effective measures include switching to LED lighting, using motion sensor lighting, installing solar panels, and lowering thermostat settings to reduce energy consumption. Additionally, during construction, incorporating environmentally friendly materials can have a long-term positive impact on sustainability.

What will you be promoting / what can visitors expect to see on your stand?

We will be showcasing our latest innovation, the AiO Speed Watcher. This advanced solution replaces the traditional overspeed governor, tension weight, and roping, offering a streamlined and efficient alternative. As the UK distributor for Montanari we will also be show casing the latest machines advances in lift hoisting machines.

What advice would you give to anyone visiting the show? What should they look for and how can they get the most from their visit?

To maximize the benefits of attending LIFTEX, we recommend that visitors plan ahead by identifying key exhibitors they want to engage with and scheduling meetings where possible. This ensures a productive and structured visit, allowing them to make the most of the networking and learning opportunities available at the event.
